I would like to welcome all to participate in this discussion on ENERGY CONSERVATION. With energy resources in short supply and getting more expensive, we must become more proactive in our efforts to conserve.

I believe too much manure is going to waste. Think of all the methane gas that comes off manure. Such would be easy to tap and utilize, as some buddhist monestaries do in India. There is probably enough methane generated in the average family to power the SUV. What do you think? Reply to this

Jack, thanks for taking the time to offer these comments. There are a few large methane production farms in the world that are fairly successful. Methane, because it is difficult to liquefy, is best used as it is produced for cooking, heating, and electrical power production. But I would think that methane production on a small scale is really not very practical in most situations. Doable but not practical. Aaron Reply to this

How can we FEEL more comfortable with these high gasoline prices?
Could I suggest filling your automobile gas tank whenever it gets down to the three-quarters mark? I personally know that it is much easier to see the gas-pump registering say $15.00 than it is to see that you owe $50.00 or more.
